Product Description
The 11th Edition maintains the lucid writing style for which the author is renowned, combined with a clear emphasis on educational psychology's practical relevance for teachers and students in classrooms. The new edition includes expanded coverage of Constructivism, Social Cognitive Theory, and Self-Regulated Learning, as well as new chapters devoted to The Learning Sciences and Constructivism (Ch 9) and Social Cognitive Views of Learning and Motivation (Ch 10). Still the most applied text on the market, this text is replete with examples, lesson segments, case studies, and practical ideas from experienced teachers. The text provides solid, up-to-date coverage of the foundational areas within educational psychology: learning, development, motivation, teaching, and assessment, combined with intelligent examination of emerging trends in the field and society that affect student learning, such as student diversity, inclusion of students with special learning needs, technology, education and neuroscience, and No Child Left Behind.

I don't know about how the book is, I just received it today. This is the way my professor describes the book: The material is good but dry. It's a textbook, so it's dry. If you're up at 11 at night and you can't fall asleep, you can pull out this book and read it. (Meaning it is boring ,expect it to be so.) As far as shipping goes, I ordered it late on a sunday and it arrived in 3 days (wednesday). That was with standard shipping. The book was in the condition as described and it arrived in a big envelope with bubble wrap. I'm very happy with the delivery and purchase! Best of luck in the course everyone...book might be boring but hopefuly your professor jazzes things up a bit like mine (my favorite class!)

If your instructor requires the MyEducationLab Software, ordering this version from Amazon does not include an access code. You will have to purchase it separately.

My book was new, just no code. Boo.
